Case Overview

 

Home of a Handy Owner (HOHO) is a retailer and distributor of their own branded products selling to Do it Yourself Home Owners. The stores are both corporate-owned as well as franchises. The stores have a small footprint nested in neighborhoods (as oppose to big box stores), prices are competitive, the staff is knowledgeable of handy work issues, branded products help drive most of the margins. The retailer is known for innovative solutions to tasks faced by most homeowners.

 The business challenge:

  • COVID has reduced the traffic to store however on-line traffic has seen 200% increase. Curbside pickup works for most customers. Going forward, the organization would like to pursue strategic priority InTouch by focusing on following three focus areas :

    • Customer Experience

    • Workplace Safety and Efficiency

    • New Product/Service Development

  • Discuss causes of Organization Inertia and methods to overcome

  • Strategic Priority – InTouch Post COVID-19

  • Conduct Conference Room Pilot – elicit Lived Experiences [30 min]

  • Review Architecture Vision and Architecture Definition Document
